Loh Medical Honored with President's "E" Award for Exports
Washington, DC - Loh Medical is proud to announce that it has been awarded the prestigious President's "E" Award from the U.S. Department of Commerce. This recognition is the highest honor for U.S. companies that have made significant contributions to expanding U.S. exports over the past three years.
This year marks the 63rd anniversary of the President's "E" Awards ceremony, celebrated on May 14th in Washington, DC. Loh Medical was one of 30 companies from 32 states that were recognized for their outstanding achievements in exporting. Loh Medical received the esteemed "E" Award for Exports, held in the auditorium of the Herbert C. Hoover Building of the Department of Commerce.
Deputy Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade, Diane Farrell, presented the awards. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo provided remarks at the conclusion of the ceremony and announced the results of a year-long modernization of the U.S. Commercial Service, the export promotion bureau within the Department of Commerce.
Loh Medical is a multinational healthcare company that provides rehabilitation services and products. Based out of Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania, with subsidiaries in Brazil, Colombia and Costa Rica, Loh Medical has been providing mobility and independence via assistive and rehabilitative medical technology to people with physical disabilities for 22 years.
The President's "E" Award acknowledges companies that have demonstrated excellence in export growth and support for expanding global trade. Winners are authorized to fly the blue and white banner and display the accompanying certificate of commendation, signed by the Secretary of Commerce in the name and by the authority of the President of the United States. Additionally, companies can provide employees with the "E" lapel pin and highlight the award in their advertising.
US Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo stated, "Loh Medical has demonstrated a sustained commitment to export expansion. The company’s understanding and mastery of regulatory compliance as a key to opening new export markets for U.S. products … have undoubtedly contributed to national export expansion efforts that support the U.S. economy and create American jobs.”
